Weekly report week 8 (2025)

17.02 - 21.02
Hello everyone,
This week was special. I attended the Swiss Cyber Security Days 2025 conference, which was extraordinarily interesting. All the presentations were insightful, covering a variety of security topics. I had the opportunity to learn a lot from experts from all over the world.
As a goal, I proposed to Torsten that I provide an overview to our company on the three most “urgent” security considerations that will also affect us in the future. To achieve this, I will need to dive deeper into these topics to break them down properly and ensure that the presentation remains concise and does not extend over too long a timespan.
For my short-term goals, I believe I should be able to accomplish them next week. By then, the ISO-27001 certification will be completed, I should have finished the last private cloud module, and I will have familiarized myself with the new subjects at school. I was able to start preparing for the first school project and made the initial commits.
On top of that, Certicopter (the SSL certificate automation tool) may soon become open-source! This will challenge me to plan and adapt the project in a way that ensures it reaches a professional level and is well-documented. To achieve this, I need to structure future tasks precisely and work closely with David, Raphael, and Dirk (all of whom have an engineering background). Additionally, I might take this as a new transfer work topic to implement appropriate security features into the code.
With that said, have a nice weekend!
